Serving God as a personal goal

Get closer to God and know your life’s purpose with complete clarity using these three spiritual goals

Serving God as a personal goal

Just like one sets goals in life to move forward, he/she should focus on the spiritual wellness and spiritual goals too. And the best way to ensure spiritual wellness lies in serving God as a personal goal. Wondering how to do it without an extensive list of spiritual goals? Even when one doesn’t have a spiritual goals list, here are three ways to serve God:

1. Develop faith – in Him and oneself

It’s important to have complete faith in Him. One should open his/her heart (and life) to God’s Word and see how it transforms him/her from the inside. To develop faith, a person should, read the Bible, meditate, and learn to seek and listen to God’s will.

2. Love others

Serving others is a powerful action that takes one closer to God. One should know and believe that all humans are His children and love others as if they are his/her brethren. After all, the greatest among faith, hope, and love is the last one. (1 Corinthians 13:13)

3. Obey the will and Word of God

Jesus Himself has said that all those who love Him should keep his commandments (John 14:15). This means one should obey His words of loving one another, and having faith, among others. At the same time, the person should listen to His words and/or plans for his/her life, and follow them with absolute devotion and faith to fulfill his/her life’s purpose. This way, he/she can make sure of serving God as a personal goal.
